Opening Hours:The route leads from Mühle in Huben to the Polltal and Breitlehnalm pastures. Hikers will soon be able to switch to the footpath, which has a steep incline, but will shorten the many hairpin bends. What is striking is the fern-rich larch and stone pine forest which you walk through almost to the very top. Once at the hut, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the valley and the Ötztal mountains. Relaxed and strengthened, it's back down to the valley. To do this, either choose the route or hike further to the Breitlehnalm and from there take the mountain climb (a little steeper) back to Huben. Walking time: 2 hours
Opening Hours:In the center of Huben there is a small information point in which various brochures about the Ötztal and the current events can be found. The information office in Längenfeld can be visited for personal advice. (approx. 4 km away)
Spaß am Wandern. Den hat man auf alle Fälle am Rätselweg. Mit Hilfe einer Schatzkarte (kostenlos in der Information Längenfeld erhältlich) sowie einer Handy App erforscht man den Winkelberg welcher durch einen gewaltigen Bergsturz vor 10.000 Jahren entstanden ist. Kindgerecht wird auf mehreren Lehrtafeln die Geologie des Ötztals erklärt. Fast am Ende der Wanderung erreicht man den kleinen Winkelbergsee mit dem anschließenden Natur-Wasser- Spielplatz. The giant basin of Längenfeld was formed by huge amounts of water, rubble and ice. Its nearby rockslide forest is interspersed with enormous granite rocks and boulders. Can you feel the icy breath of air coming from deep inside the ravines and gorges? Of course, there is also a witch cave.Magic never ends in the Fairytale Forest. Soon you will reach jade-green Lake Winkelbergsee with the three little islands sparkling in the summer sun. A true natural gem, fed by crystal clear spring water. Slightly above little explorers find a small mountain brook and water play park with mill wheels. The Sulztalalm is located at an altitude of 1,915 m. From the parking area in Gries the path leads through meadows to the "Vögelasbrücke" at first. Continue the path to Sulztalalm at a slight hikingtrail trough the forest. (Approx. 1,5 h walking time)After a refreshment with good homemade meals you can continue the hike to Ambergerhütte. (1 h walking time)
