Suspension Bridge

Maurer Rinne

The 82 meter long suspension bridge ranks among the latest attractions in Längenfeld. Towering high above the valley, visitors can enjoy uninterrupted panoramic views of the spa village and its superb surroundings.

Panoramic view included

The well-loved Panorama Trail in Längenfeld boasts a crossing with spectacular features: in the so-called "Maurer Rinne" ravine between the hamlets of  Brand and Burgstein, walking fans leave the firm grounds by crossing a fantastic suspension bridge made of steel. With a total length of 82 meters the superb bridge towers some 150 meters above the valley. A perfect place to discover Längenfeld and all its picturesque hamlets from a bird eye's view.

Bridge as safety measure

In addition to a new, spectacular film and photo location, the bridge is also a further safety measure for walkers and hikers alike. Within the entire area of "Maurer Rinne" there is a great hazard of falling rocks. Thanks to the new steel construction this part of the hiking trail has become very safe, explains Ewald Schmid (vice director of Ötztal Tourismus). This was one of the most important aspects for this project. The Panorama Trail is very popular among guests and locals as it makes a perfect walking tour to get acclimatized to the high Alpine region.
