The Wurzbergalm has been in family ownership since its construction in 1959 - the friendly, family-like flair can be felt immediately when you stop by.Passionate hikers of all ages immediately feel like home. The hut is reachable with a bit of fitness but without much difficulty. Once at the top you can enjoy tyrolean dishes with a wonderful view. The Hausersee hut on the "Geigenkamm", named after his highest sumit, the "Hohe Geige" (3395 m), in the Ötztal Alps. The lake which is hardly warmer than 4 degrees in summer, lends his name to the house.
